Occupation:  Former member, of the Shirai-Ryu, servant of the Netherrealm

Abilities:  Has the ability to control and create fire, while also still maintain skills back when he was a Shirai-Ryu Assassin, he can also summon minions to do his bidding, and he can unleash a dangerous inferno soon as he takes off his mask…..

Weapons:  Two Katana blades on his back but his most iconic weapon is his Chain Spear, this time he has two of them now.

Bio: Hanzo Hasashi was a member of the Shirai-Ryu assassin clan until they and his family were killed by Sub-Zero of the rival Lin Kuei clan. Hanzo's soul was claimed by the Netherrealm sorcerer Quan Chi, who resurrected him as the revenant Scorpion and gave him the chance to avenge his family's deaths. Full of rage and hellfire, Scorpion fights alongside Quan Chi in Netherrealm's invasion of Earthrealm.


Intro: A puddle of lava will appear from the ground, Scorpion will jump out of it while the lava puddle fades away, as he lands he’ll turn to the opponent and gets into his fighting stance.

Forward-Medium: Hellfire Fist

Scorpion will perform an upwards punch attack while his fist is covered by flames, inflicts five hits of damage.

Light (After Hellfire Fist): Hellfire Punch

Scorpion will quickly do a straight punch forward while his fist is covered in flames, causes a hard knockdown.

Medium (After Hellfire Fist): Hellfire Hammer

Scorpion will do a simple upwards punch to the chest and then quickly jumping upwards and slams the opponent onto the ground, causes a ground bounce.  

Heavy (After Hellfire Fist): Hellfire Slice

Scorpion will draw one of his swords out to perform a quick horizontal slash, causes a wall bounce.


Forward-Heavy: Inferno Slash

Scorpion will draw out one on his Swords and performs a horizontal slash.

Light (After Inferno Kick):  Inferno Guillotine

Scorpion will use a knee thrust to the opponents chest (forcing the opponent to be in the air for a bit) before quickly drawing out his other sword to perform a quick downwards swing that causes the opponent to be skidded across the floor, if the opponent actually comes in contact with the wall during the skid it causes a wall bounce.

Medium (After Inferno Kick): Inferno Shredder

Scorpion will draw out his other sword and then attacks with both of them at the same time by spinning them, does multiple hits and causes a ground bounce.

Heavy (After Inferno Kick): Inferno Stab

Scorpion will quickly spin around around to stab the opponent in the chest, this causes a crumple state.

Down-Forward-Light: Fire Ball

Scorpion will throw a fireball straight at the opponent, simple projectile.

This move can even be charged into a greater larger fireball that does bigger damage and causes a hard knockdown.

Pressing Light again will have Scorpion use his teleport move (see way below) to reappear behind the opponent but he doesn’t attack when reappearing.

Down-Forward-Medium: Spear

Scorpion will throw his Chain-Spear at the opponent, if it connects Scorpion will say he’s iconic “GET OVER HERE!” or “COME HERE!” and then pulls the opponent towards him , this attack only goes in a straight line but it’s fast and goes full screen.

Pressing medium again soon as Scorpion has his spear into the opponent will have Scorpion instead of pulling the opponent towards him, he’ll instead channel fire from his hand and into the chain where the fire will channel across the chain and into the opponent it is caught up in burning him/her in the process. This stuns the opponent for a short period of time.

Down-Forward-Heavy: Double Spear

Scorpion will throw out two Chain-Spears at the opponent, if he connects successfully Scorpion will use his strength to swing the opponent above his head with the spears and the slams them onto the ground behind him, this causes a ground bounce.

Pressing Heavy again soon as Scorpion has his spears in the opponent will instead drag himself towards the opponent. This move can also be done in the air and not only would Scorpion pull himself towards the opponent but would also bounce off the opponent with his legs which causes a ground bounce.

Forward-Down-Forward-Light: Takedown

Scorpion will slide forward low to grab the opponent’s feet in between his legs, if he successfully grabs the opponent he’ll then use the strength in his legs to have the opponent lose his/her balance and then fall hard onto the ground.

Even if Scorpion misses the opponent this attack can however dodge projectiles, this attack can even work against the opponent if he/she is either blocking or crouching.

Forward-Down-Forward-Medium: Flaming Backflip Kick

Scorpion will suddenly dash forward for a bit before doing a backflip kick while flames are ignited on his feet; the dash part of this move hits off the ground while the backflip acts as an uppercut.

Forward-Down-Forward-Heavy: Hell Fire

Scorpion will raise his arms up in the air while at the same time the opponent will be ignited by flames all over his/her body. Does multiple hits, targets the opponent no matter where he/she is and even hits off the ground.  However does not work against air opponents.

Down-Backward-Light: Minion Grab

Scorpion will summon a minion from underneath the opponent which would then grab his/her feet and holds him/her in place for a short period of time. Only works against standing/crouching enemies.

Down-Backward-Medium: Minion Charge

Scorpion will summon a minion behind the opponent which would then charge at the opponent from behind, if successful with colliding with the opponent it will then hold the opponent in place, while the minion is only summoned on the ground, it will still grab the opponent in the air as long as the opponent is close enough to come into contact with it.

Down-Backward-Heavy: Minion Drop
Scorpion will summon a minion above his head which would then immediately fly downwards at an angle, works as an anti-air attack against incoming opponents. This move also causes a ground bounce.

Half Circle Backwards-Attack: Crescent Katana

Scorpion will dash forward while drawing one of his swords to perform an upwards slash attack that hits off the ground.

Backward-Down-Backward-Attack: Teleport

Scorpion will suddenly disappear and then reappears behind the opponent: the button differs what Scorpion would do afterwards.

Light: Scorpion doesn’t do anything.

Medium: Swings one of his swords down, causes a ground bounce.

Heavy: Performs an uppercut attack.

Down-Forward-Attack X2: Hellfire Eruption

Scorpion will shout out  “Burn in the depths of the Netherrealm!” as he performs  the Hell Fire attack on the opponent only this time it’s a giant explosion of flames all  around the opponent although the flames do not ignite from the opponent but rather burst out from the ground creating a fiery pillar.

Does multiple hits and hits off the ground.

Down-Backward-Attack X2: Hellfire Shadow

Scorpion will say “You will perish!” he’ll then dash while punching forward, if he connects the super will continue.

Scorpion will teleport behind the opponent to perform an uppercut while quickly teleporting again in front of the opponent to do another uppercut  and then repeats this process five more times before Scorpion does one last teleportation but instead of doing an uppercut he does a straight dashing punch attack that causes a hard knockdown.

Down-Down-Attack X2: Fire Aura

Scorpion will shout out “Feel my burning rage!” he then briefly covers himself with fire and seconds later he appears to be scorched like lava while small flams emerge from some parts of his body, while he is like this he doesn’t gain any speed or strength but rather when the opponent is near him they will take hits from Scorpions fiery aura.

Forward-Down-Forward-Attack X2 (Level 3): Scorpion’s Rage

Scorpion will say “You will die!” he’ll then charge at the opponent with a flying flaming kick attack, if he connects a cutscene will occur.

NOTE: Every hit Scorpion makes on the opponent is played in slow motion with the opponent’s grunts also in slow motion while the sounds of bones breaking and stuff is heard but not seen.

Scorpion will first punch the opponent in the face, knocking him/her onto the ground, he’ll then stomp on the opponents ribs, he’ll then lift them up to force him/her stand up on his/feet and then jumps to have his knee hit the under the opponents chin, this causes the opponent to be launched into the air, Scorpion will then fire out both spears into the opponents chest and then slams the airborne opponent back onto the ground.

The super ends here.


However if this move is used on the last opponent and if the opponents health completely depletes by the end of this super, it will end rather darkly…  

The background turns black and the announcer suddenly shouts out “Finish him/her!”

Scorpion pulls off his mask revealing a he has a flaming skull for a head and then breaths fire onto the opponent, the opponent will burst into flames and then falls to the ground while his/her body is turns to an burnt ash-like state.


The announcer will say “Scorpion Wins! Fatality!”


.......then on a rare occasion Dan Forden will appear in the corner saying "Toasty!"

Victory: Scorpion is seen far away from the camera, Scorpion turns to look at it and then shoots out his spear towards the camera and pulls it over to his face. (Inspired by his 3D victory animations from Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon)
